I’ve opened a real-deal, high street bookshop!

The summer flew by as my partner and I moved to Skipton (gateway to the Yorkshire Dales) and brought Keogh’s Books with us (shout out to RF Shipping & Logistics for their incredible work on the move). In all honesty, opening a shop wasn’t part of my plans until much, much later down the line… then the opportunity came up and it was such an exciting idea I couldn’t turn it down. We’ve filled the shelves, opened the doors, crossed our fingers, and so far we’re having a whale of a time meeting booklovers from near and far. Every day we get to welcome more weird and wonderful folks, from the daytrippers looking for a new read and the Saturday browsers, to the collectors, enthusiasts, antiquarians and down-right obsessives; exactly what you’d hope for in a secondhand bookshop.

An absolutely huge thank you to the friends, family and my fantastic new colleague for all their help painting walls, putting up shelves, creating window displays and hauling stock around ❤️

If you’re ever in Skipton, pop in and say hello 📚 📖 📚
