85 pages, complete with colour frontispiece and illustrations throughout, being a first edition, 1st or 2nd printing (believed to be identical) [see Linder pg 426], SIGNED on the front free endpaper to Miss Hammond with love from Beatrix Potter, and dated Aug 16th 1906, Miss Hammond was the author’s governess and later friend. There are 2 typed letters with this book from Warne & Sotheby’s from 1969 which relate to a previous owner thinking of selling it and a few more unsigned titles that were with it
